Welcome to the first annual “Canada’s Favourite Sit-Down Restaurant” study

BrandSpark, in collaboration with National Post, conducted a national survey among Canadians to ascertain which brands were Canadians’ favourites. The survey asked a number of open-ended questions including “What is your favourite Canadian brand?”, “What is your favourite Sit-Down Restaurant” and “What is your favourite New Product that you have tried within the past 12 months?”

The sample was sourced from the SSI (Survey Sampling International), the premier global sampling provider.

The Study Overview

• The survey, conducted in both English and French, was in field between October 2nd to October 23rd, 2008.
• In total, 1,669 people completed the survey.
• Respondents ranged in age from 18 to over 70 years old.
• The survey population was weighted to correspond to the Canadian Population according to Statistics Canada (for gender, age and region).
• The maximum margin of error is (n=1,669) = ±2.4%
